Considering the fact that the sign out front says "drive-ins welcome," my husband, 2 year old daughter and myself wanted to check it out. We drove down, to the left and then to the right. We were heading back onto the highway when this little girl with a BIG attitude drove up on a golf cart, she approached us from the front, driving in our lane coming straight at us blocking us from the front. She snaps with 100% attitude right away "Do you guys KNOW where you're going or are you just gonna keep backing up and turning around??" My husband said "no we know where we need to go now." She snaps "Good! The front office! Because that's where you're SUPPOSED TO GO!!"
This employee had straight long brown hair. Probably in her 20's. Can't believe how rude she was for no reason. We live right in Lanesboro so we drive by it quite often and it puts a bad feeling in my stomach each time I pass this campground.
We have stayed here before and had OK experiences. Recently, their management must have changed or something. The staff was extremely rude (especially the manager) from the time we checked in and throughout our stay. We are seasoned campers and this place is uniquely different in how strict it is compared to the several other campgrounds that are out there. They seemed dis-organized in how they manage large groups and were easily confused by their own systems. I do not think we will be returning to this campground unfortunately. It is a very nice looking area, but it seems like if you are not 65 and retired you are not welcome. We have 3 younger kids and there are not a lot of activities for them.
It's certainly less than rugged and some of the rules are little odd - such as the requirement to move your tent every two days to keep the grass nice - but the facilities are easily the nicest I've ever seen at a campground and, hey, the grass is real nice. I'd definitely stay here again!
Great place to bring your family. The staff there is amazing and they are all very kind. The grounds were well kept and clean. They also had activities going for people to do every day if they so chose. Definitely recommending it to friends and family.
Great spot to camp in Lanesboro. A little busy during certain times of the year so plan ahead.
